24/3 PRAYERTO KICK OFF THE NEW YEAR: We think one of the reasons we are experiencing "family" here at Oasis is the time we take to pray for each other. We're at it again!  Beginning Sunday, January 1 following our worship time at the Millers that morning, we'll spend the next 72 hours praying for each other, for God's heart for us, for all that God wants to to with us as his people over the next year.  Once again, the prayer room will be at the Millers.

A new year brings new challenges, and hopefully renewed vision.  Think about your Oasis family right ow--there seems to be a lot of us who are going through difficult times right now. And there's all kinds of exciting things happening with us that we need to support.  You have been so good at encouraging and supporting each other--loving each other--by praying for one another.  Let's go to our knees once again, and see what God might do!
Here's the link: http://www2.mysignup.com/cgi-bin/view.cgi?datafile=oasis_2012. Go there and sign up for an hour long time slot (or more than one!) 72 slots to fill, we think we can do that!

New Year's Day!  January 1 falls on a Sunday this year, so we're going to take that opportunity to do something a little different. Instead of meeting at the school, we will meet at the Millers for worship that morning--10 AM. Plan on a potluck lite afterwards if you want to stick around and relax with each other (bring the leftovers from Christmas and New Years!). We'll spend the morning being family together, worshiping together, praying for each other.

PERU: If you haven't already done it, it's time to get your monthly support in for the orphanage in Peru. Just put a check in the offering with PERU in the memo line and we'll send it out after the last Sunday of the month. And don't forget to get your Peruvian coffee--we know some people who are giving it as Christmas gifts!

Post High will meet again after the first of the year.
YOUTH CHURCH: Youth will also pick up again after the first of the year.

Sojourner's Hope: While we're talking about ways for us to be more concerned about doing what's right and just and fair, don't forget about the work of Sojourner's Hope as well. Sign up on Facebook to receive notices about the needs we hear about.
