Worship Team Practice: Luke leads this week..
Youth Group, Fall 2010 Edition! Our youth group isn't just so much fluff! The kids are experiencing a dynamic time of worship and faith building each Wednesday night. This is for all our Senior High/Junior High kids. Notice a time change: 6:30 PM at the Millers!
Small Group at the Youngs: You can't hang around with us at Oasis without catching that we think community is very important in our walk with and mission for Jesus. We need deeper friendships, there's just no way around it. So we want to encourage you to come to the Youngs' (619 E. Orchid) on WEDNESDAY nights to connect, to deepen friendships and trust, and to find support and encouragement. 7 PM.
Women's Small Group/Bible study: Okay, so maybe we were a bit hasty saying this was starting this week. You'll have to live with the anticipation a couple of more weeks, the ladies will kick this off on Wednesday, September 15, at 7 PM at Kelly Mittner's.
Post High Community Group: If you're out of high school and somewhere in the vicinity of college age (we'll let you make that determination!) you'll find this group just for you meeting on THURSDAYS at 6:30 PM at the Phillips (659 S Dodge). They feed you dinner (very cool) and then there's a chance to think and discuss about the faith issues you face at this time of your life.
Potluck Lunch! First Sunday of the month this weekend, and that means forced friendship making...okay, it's actually our potluck lunch following our worship time and while we can't force you to make friends or catch up with each other or encourage someone else, we sure do hope that happens while we eat together! Bring main dishes, sides, salads, and/or desserts to share and stick around to connect with your Oasis family. We'll provide everything else.
Labor Day Camp: There will once again be a Family camp on Labor day weekend, September 3-6 at ABC Camp.

Baby Stuff: Dante and Nicole (no they are not having a baby, got all excited didn't you?) 's daughter Amber is having a baby and the Ramsey's are wanting to start rounding up some baby stuff both for Amber and for when the baby is at their place. If you have anything stored at your place, or if you're out garage sale-ing, would you keep this in mind and check with Nicole to see what they might need? Thanks!

Hi Jim,
On top of the LARGE amount of homework that Jocelyn has to complete each
night, she has to read for at least 15 minutes also. She's been reading a
children's bible and last night she wanted to accept Jesus in her heart so
she did!!! My baby-girl has been saved- Hallelujah!
Isn't that great? This is what we live for. Baptism coming up soon!
